Our passion is providing services that directly improve the quality of life of both our human and animal clientele.

We have spent the last decade professionally training dogs of all ages, breeds and backgrounds how to be their “best selves” by implementing balanced training methods and utilizing highly effective and humane educational tools. Equally important, we are adept at mentoring owners in an open, honest and supportive way to assist them in learning how to provide clear and consistent communication with their dogs.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

is to place significant attention on creating a calm, balanced mindset while providing communication to the dogs, and their owners, in a manner they can clearly understand.

We all want that happy, well-adjusted, “take ’em anywhere” kinda dog yet very few our our canine citizens will naturally fall into this desirable category. The specific reasons as to why a dog is, or isn’t, doing –fill in the blank– can be innumerable but the fundamental driver of most poor behavioural choices can be attributed back to the mindset of that animal and to the behaviour of the human(s) involved.

Dogs, just like us, flourish in a structured, consistent living environment; they are able to acquire skills and learn desirable behaviours with appropriate and well-timed reward-based methods and they can further determine “right” from “wrong ” with appropriate and well-timed correction-based methods which hold them accountable for their behaviours.

We benefit greatly from the fact that our dogs are social-beings and, as such, they come to us with a built-in understanding of both “reward” (“right/yes”) and “punishment” (“wrong/no”) from their initial months of living with their mother and siblings; however, they absolutely need a continuing education, through their new human family, to fairly teach them how to successfully navigate and enjoy living in our world.

Our goal is to offer the opportunity to create more stability, relaxation and enjoyment in the lives of our clients. We employ balanced training methods and utilize training tools (food, markers, praise, spatial pressure, crates, slip leashes, e-collars, prongs, head halters, clickers etc) that we have a very solid belief in and which have enabled us to consistently achieve success in helping dogs, of all ages and breeds, to have more freedom and relaxation of mind.

Furthermore our background education in psychology, yoga and reiki has shaped our methodology to ensure we always acknowledge the incredible power of our “energy”, animals, even more so than humans, are very finely tuned and receptive to universal energy; through our body positions, inner intentions, underlying mood state, physical touch and the tone and cadence of our voice, we are sending constant feedback to our animal companions, whether we are aware of it or not.

The success of any training program always lies in the follow-through of the participants so, while we put a lot of emphasis on educating the dogs, owners also receive an education that will serve to empower them with the tools and feedback required to continue on. At the end of the sessions, the long-term success of the dog is ultimately determined by the degree to which the household consistently upholds the training.

We, of course, are always there to support our clientele during this life-long journey and find deep satisfaction in seeing how transformational this process can be when everyone is aligned for the same goal: a happier, more balanced dog in a happier and more balanced home!
